I hope we do not draft Chubb he is not good.

I can assure you, coming from a UGA fan, he is. I seriously do not understand why he gets so much hate. Before his injury, he was probably the best back in the country, was even in Heisman consideration and considered the best back since Herschel for Georgia. When he went down with his injury, Michel emerged but when Chubb returned, your he was sharing carries, and not just with Michel either (Swift and Holy field as well) which his carries were reduced down. Imean, don't get me wrong, I like Michel, he is a talented back but Chubb fits what we need more.

I'm surprised so many people want to automatically pair a big RB with the smaller guy. like why does anyone actually care about having a "thunder and lightning" combo in the backfield, I figured having the two best backs you can have regardless of skillset was the goal.

I dont get it either.  He is fuggin great.  He killed the combine and even caught the ball well at his pro day.  He is well respected, blah blah blah,  he can fugging do it all!  Dont get how he is undervalued like this.  Makes no sense to me.

He is bigger but I like the Frank Gore comparison.  Both had injuries and everyone questions them but they flat out produce.  We will be damn lucky if we get him.

What’s the deal with this guy? Watching highlights now and he looks slow with not a lot of yards after contact. Most of his highlights are him running through big holes.

I mean he might be ok but i don't get the huddles obsession with him. Vs Alabama 18 carries for 25 yards. Michel had 14 carries for 98 in the same game. Major knee injury also not a positive in a guy who would be a workhorse back for us.

He didn't show anything against Auburn as well. He is overrated. He hasn't been good since his Rookie yr I think he got injured and has not been the same since.

For all you guys saying that Chubb hasn't been good and is overrated blah blah blah, I got something for ya:Screenshot_20180322-000655.thumb.png.746dd7d606136337fedfdc8a7173c62d.png

Remember that he plays in the SEC, and not everyone has it going all the time, that's why there are usually at least two backs.

And all this stuff about he can only run through wide open holes (like that's all that he can do) is just...wrong.

I honestly don't know what you guys are looking at. One or two games? Like I said, no one's on all the time. But overall, for a guy who had been injured, he's sure looking more and more like a beast as time goes on. Put the Haterade down and be objective. He isn't slow. Every highlight is not some gaping hole, and he had power to burn.

And, yes, these are all from his senior season.

Drafting a rb in the first round who isn’t from Penn State would be surprising to me... but of course we have Hurney back so anything’s possible

I'd love  penn st rb in the first..a second rd TE...3rd rd wr and late rd safety...all from happy valley ...

No hate here. He's a power back, one of many good RBs available in this draft. Being objective could be defined by flagging injury concerns and the fact that he was MIA in Georgia's biggest game of the season. At no point did I say he wasn't a good fit for the Panthers.

I'm talking about value. I said this last year when we took CMC. Forums are bursting at the seams with fans who fall in love with a player. Is CMC a good player? No question. Is he 8 overall good? Its a different question.

If he's there in the third when we have addressed safety and corner then great. But take him higher than that or trade up for him and you are allowing your heart to rule your head in my opinion.

How many times have fans said we could have taken kamara/hunt in the third during this past season? This is a deep RB class and I don't get the must-have hype surrounding this one guy.

Kamara was off the board 10 picks before our 3rd round selection. We even traded up to get that close.

True. I'm not trying to be a retrospective know it all here. Reading the huddle this time last year so many people had those two as Jags. You might have thought  Fournette and CMC were the only RBs worth considering.

My point is they weren't overdrafted because of hype. Chubb, freeman, Walton, Scarborough. All good players going rounds 2-5. But the position is deep. If we can get any one of these later by holding our nerve and fill up a position of greater need and less availability earlier it makes more sense.

Bottom line i will be happy with Chubb in the 3rd. A little less happy in the 2nd. Very unhappy in the first. If we can get him or an equivalent player later i will be very pleased.
