Sorensen says we should sign Reid, and he's right.

They'd have more backing them than against them in EVERY NFL locker room tho. Every NFL team have more players that understand what Reid was kneeling for than players who don't.

So? You still divide the team. I'm not sure you accept the significance of that.

PS. I 100% support the intent, but am 100% opposed to the chosen method of protest.

Apparently, Bengals asked Reid if he would stop and he said he couldn’t give him an answer. Bengals owner is said to be wanting to put a rule in place where if you’re on his team, you must kneel.

Kaep apparently just went through the same in Seattle. They asked and he said he wasn’t stopping. Tryout cancelled (apparently)...

Some individuals will stick their head in the sand, and act like that’s not the reason these players aren’t on a team. League will probably try to settle with Kaep soon...

Your job and the job of an nfl player aren’t comparable. Not on the same levels. Athletes have been using sports as a platform for decades now.

Every job is important you are wrong. They protested before in individual sports like boxing or track but not as part of a team . As an an employee be it accountant engineer or ball player you represent the company and should represent the company

Can’t be wrong when I didnt day your job wasn’t important. Your job and the job of an nfl player are different, and you shouldn’t compare what’s allowed at your place of work to that of an athlete. Athletes have been protesting and using their respective fields as platforms since the first minority stepped on a playing field. And yes, athletes the have been apart of a team have been protesting for decades.

Well you have your opinion but I can also say that if my prospective employer refuses to hire me because I told them I would protest on the job why shouldn’t nfl owners refuse to hire players who will protest something while on the job? They have the right to hire who they feel will best represent  their team and help them make a profit

You're arguing with people who have obviously never worked for a living. People who do work for a living get fired every day over unpopular Facebook posts. The concept any of us can show up at work and have any opinion whatsoever on the companies time is not based in reality.  Its obvious those who fail to understand this simple concept and think NFL players who are saying something with which they agree should be immune to the reality the rest of us face must be jobless and/or clueless about the country in which I assume they reside.

At me next time. I’ve stated on here before I graduated with an engineering degree, and currently a systems engineer. So, yes, I do work for a living.

Like I said, my job and your job aren’t on the same levels as an athlete. Athletes have been protesting and standing up for their beliefs on the field for decades.

So don’t you agree that an employer doesn’t need to hire you if you say you will protest on the job and don’t nfl owners have the same right to refuse to hire protestors?

Protest is way too vague of a word and simply isn't fair to use in this scenario. If you told your boss that you were planning to walk into your cubicle every morning and quietly take a knee for 90 seconds before turning your fugging computer on and proceed to go about your workday as normal and they refuse to hire you then there is something very wrong.

Taking a knee isn't disruptive to anyone else at your job.

Well taking a knee in front of 60000 fans and millions of viewers during the national anthem is a bit more disruptive and can affect a teams bottom line so the owner can choose to hire someone else

Owners have the right to do what they please. They purchased the franchises, and if they don’t want to sign someone, that is their right.

Both my job and your job (more than likely) doesn’t require us to stand for the pledge or star spangled banner either. I’m pretty sure if they did, you’d have some individuals in the workplace doing the same as these athletes and with the progressive tip that most of these companies are on, now a days, I’m pretty sure a lot of them would be fine with an individual at their company silently sitting out or taking a knee. They, just like CK & Eric Reid aren’t causing any harm.
