IMO, this team as it stands will be lucky, very lucky to make the playoffs again. Due in large part to glaring holes in the Defensive backfield. If we can somehow patch up the Defensive backfield I think it’s not only possible but likely.

What the possibility of a Super Bowl comes simply down if Norv can get the offense turned around.

if the defense gets fixed I say playoffs for sure, but super bowl? if everything goes well..... maybe?

Honestly the only thing that killed us last year was the Saints. If they would've had a normal year, we could've been in the super bowl.

I don't see anything they can conceivably do to make the playoffs with the shape the roster is in and new coordinators taking over much less a SB.  I'm holding out hope that they can pull off back to back winning seasons however.

I think the biggest question mark on the offensive side of the ball (outside of health) is how well we pick up Turner's offense. It appears we are going for a systematic approach, as opposed to a talent heavy approach.

As far as defense, our corners were on an  island all year last year, and teams found ways to attack that, and we never countered. We are going to need help in the secondary, and without an anchor similiar to what mitchel/coleman were, its going to be tough to hide that.

It's hard to assume we win the super bowl with what we have in place right now. If we want to go to the super bowl we need a stellar draft, and cherry pick rosters at the end of the pre-season for surprise cuts.

I will be happy when the team is sold and JR no longer has control.  I get physically I'll everytime I see Hurneys face so maybe that s my problem.

I don't think playoffs are a realistic option given the current state of the team. Now, if we get our secondary shored up and our depth chart squared away, perhaps that is an option. Right now, we have way too many holes in our roster to be considered much of a playoff contender. Think about how many spots we simply cannot afford an injury at. It's not a great position to be in.

But, there is ample time remaining in free agency and the draft to add CB's, S, TE2, QB2, OG#1, OL depth, and RB depth.
