And I was saying that all the QBs currently on the market are hot trash and Cam Newton basically IS our offense.

obviously cam is our offense I’m not arguing that, but a good backup also allows cam to rest if needed and not force him out there injured with more potential to get seriously injured. All I want is either an insanly cheap vet backup qb like Geno Smith/ Ej Manuel or a late round developmental project

We played Cam with a torn rotator cuff when we were mathematically elimated from the playoffs. Our staff is gonna throw him out there no matter what.

Honestly kaep would be the best option.

I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the team.  The disrespect he shows for law enforcement is unacceptable.  The man wore socks portraying cops as pigs to practice...on several occasions.  He should never play in the league again.

Our nation's law enforcement officers do plenty to disrespect themselves. I don't want Kaep simply because he's not a very good QB and the distractions and unwanted media attention he'd bring wouldn't be worth it.

So do dentists and doctors and Mail men and grocery clerks etc.  but 99% of them are good.  I was a cop years ago and served alongside great men and women who answered the call to help others for 30k a year.  There is bad in every profession.  But most are good.  Imagine our society without a police force

99% of them may be good, but I've had to call them twice in my life and I'll never call them again.

The first time was when my vehicle was broken into in Topeka, KS when I was moving to CO. The thieves ended up stealing my wife's identity and I gave the cops all the info. They did nothing with it. They had a massive issue with a ring of shitheads doing this in their area and were convinced it was some Oceans 11 type stuff going on. They had completely given up. I went to the local media. Did news interviews. Put them on blast. Still nothing. Months later they finally caught a break when some tweaker arrested for an unrelated offense squealed on the whole operation. Yep, based out of the address I'd given them months prior. The house basically looked like a hoarder pad with all the crap they had in there. They weren't even doing anything with all the stuff they were stealing, they were just going for identities to steal. Detective called me up and described numerous belongings of mine and said they'd be in touch to arrange delivery. Never heard anything. Called back about a week later and there was no record of any of my belongings being taken into possession. I was robbed once by tweakers and then robbed again by the cops.

Second time was actually my wife. A bear broke into our house when she was home alone. She was trapped with a fuging BEAR between her and any exits. A fuging news van that heard the 911 call go through beat the cops to the house. The nearest news station is nearly an hour away. There's a sheriff department substation less than 10 minutes away and they love to sit at the end of our road and peck away at their laptops for hours on end. They never showed. It was a game warden that showed up about an hour later. He covers a huge territory and was on the complete other side of the county when he got the call and told dispatch as much and told them he'd be there ASAP but they needed to dispatch other LEOs in the meantime. The bear left on his own accord shortly, but I have absolutely no use for cops after those two experiences. None.
