+/- Game

Time to play the plus/minus game as we come toward the end of FA and into the draft. I hope we can keep this going through the draft. Keep this simple; thoughts, names, and wishes need to stay in other threads. This is purely what you expect from our groups based on additions/improvements and declines/departures (thus far) compared to last year's performance. As of 3/17 I have:

Pass Off: - ( +WR, -Oline, -TE depth)

Rush Off: - (-RB, -Oline)

Pass Def: - (same frnt 7, - Scndry Depth)

Rush Def: same (same frnt 7)

Pass offense: +WR, -interior OL

Rush offense: +RB (sorry, Stew is addition by subtraction at this point), -interior OL

Pass Defense: +secondary (Worley and Coleman are additions by subtraction, Seymour is roughly equal to Worley even if we don't upgrade and honestly I'd rather have Colin Jones out there than the Coleman we saw last year and I don't think we're done by a long shot with our secondary changes), +DT (Poe is a better pass rusher than Star), +DE (CJ is addition by subtraction at this point and Horton should've been taking even more of his snaps last year, hopefully Hall looks much better after a de facto redshirt season)

Rush Defense: roughly the same, Poe roughly equal to Star as a run stuffer. Honestly, if we're going to miss Worley anywhere it's here. He's a lot more physical at stepping up to help against the run than Seymour.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
