To be fair, he also questions whether Breeland would want to "re-engage".

Couple of us said after looking at his Twitter response to this that he didn't exactly sound like he was happy with us or inclined to wait around.

He may have thought the injury wasn't a problem, or he may have known it was a problem and tried to slip it past us. The result is the same.

Basically, that ship has sailed through the water under the burned bridge carrying the horse who got out of the barn and stepped on the now empty toothpaste tube.

yea

breeland is done with us. this signing/contract voiding was one big ruined orgasm for his career.

We're probably pissed and feel like he and/or his agent misled the hell out of us. They probably either completely withheld the injury or greatly downplayed it. I'm sure he wasn't the only CB we were considering and then by the time he finally drug his ass to Charlotte for our docs to get eyes on his trench rotted foot it was too late to make an alternate move on another quality young FA CB. Breeland fuged us and burned that bridge.

Exactly this^, because if you look at the FA's available now... They are all trash. Unless a decent vet gets cut, he completely fuged us. Only way we can get talent now is via trade

Not sure how they thought a doctor was going to not see a foot that was so infected it needed surgery...

The only thing I can figure is that they stalled to wait for the other good options to sign elsewhere hoping that the Panthers would still sign him out of sheer desperation.
