Bill Voth on Breeland coming back

As someone else in another thread pointed out, Breeland and his agent KNEW he had an injury and an infection when they negotiated with Marty Hurney who was negotiating in good faith.

Breeland and his agent were NOT negotiating in good faith obviously.

So, yeah, though it might be pointed out that the PLAYER doesn't want to drink from the same well twice, I would propose that Marty Hurney, with good reason, doesn't want to dip his toe in that water again.

Edit: That person in another thread credit goes to Paintballr

FWIW: According to Spotrac Bashaud is represented by BTI Sports. There are no current Panthers on their list of clients but Orlando Scandrick is represented by them.

If BTI failed to disclose a known injury to Breeland I would have to think it would hurt the chances of Scandrick landing here.

Makes you wonder if the reason they failed him was if he wasn’t up front about it. If the injury happened on the 4th, and he “agreed” to a deal after and that could have affected his money, that probably pissed the Panthers off

Called it in another thread.

As it should.  If you know you can't trust what you're hearing, why listen?

Hopefully Scandrick being over the hill and awful at football at this point eliminates the chances of him landing here.

I find it interesting that Voth's phrasing highlights the Panthers backing out of the deal rather than Breeland and Co's non-disclosure.  I know he wants to appear to be more a reporter than a Panther's yes man, but I think he's going overboard here.

To be fair, he also questions whether Breeland would want to "re-engage".

Couple of us said after looking at his Twitter response to this that he didn't exactly sound like he was happy with us or inclined to wait around.

He may have thought the injury wasn't a problem, or he may have known it was a problem and tried to slip it past us. The result is the same.

Basically, that ship has sailed through the water under the burned bridge carrying the horse who got out of the barn and stepped on the now empty toothpaste tube.
