I’m with the “just draft a guy” gang. No sense in wasting cap on any of the corners on that list, besides Gaines and Breaux. Gotta ask yourself are any of those guys better than Seymour.

I'm not against using the draft. But we all know virtually no one here is going to have the patience for the inevitable growing pains of starting a rookie CB in a division with Brees and Ryan.

Makes sense, but with all the activity that's already been it won't be as easy to find a trade partner. Might end up paying more than you would have otherwise.

Rashaan Melvin - DB - Raiders

Raiders signed CB Rashaan Melvin to a one-year, $6.5 million contract.

Melvin was one of the bright spots for the Colts last year, intercepting three passes and playing solid coverage before missing six games to a wrist injury. He was one of the top corners remaining in free agency. This is a good deal for Oakland, with Melvin getting significantly less money and term than Aaron Colvin. Melvin will help replace the losses of T.J. Carrie, Sean Smith and David Amerson.

Hurney needs to move away from UFA CB's and draft one instead. Focus on free agent safeties, there are still quality options available.
