Wilson or Ebron? Who would you rather have?

Luke Willson is a UFA - Eric Ebron is a free agent but was released by Detroit. This means that Ebron would not count towards compensatory pick equation. 

This will be a big factor for our boy Marty Hurney

I would like Wilson as a #2 TE, as I've already stated.  However, after looking at stats for the three of them (Olsen, Ebron, and Wilson) over their first four seasons, I might reconsider.  Ebron is very similar to Olsen, while it's obvious that Wilson is a 3rd option at best.  So maybe I need to just trust the Front Office to make the right decision.

I'm pretty happy with Hurney 2.0 so far.

Ebron.    He had his issues, but is young and I believe Norv gets the most of out his TE's.     Also having Greg providing some leadership should help.

Let's be honest though, either is a big upgrade for us.

This is it.

Ebron is by far the better choice.  He is an amazing athlete with TE1 potential.  He has been very productive so far, and is still young.  Lions fans only hated him because he would drop some (still not many as made evident by his very high catch rate) and because he was a first round pick.  Had he been taken in the 3rd, he’d still be a Lion.  It’s all perception. Ebron is way better than Wilson.  It’s not close.

Ebron is a essentially a slow slot wr. Unless he dramatically improves his blocking over night,  teams will know that you aren't running the ball to whichever side he'd lined up on. 

Ebron is younger but due to his limitations he has to come at the right price

With Ed Dickson signing with Seattle and Greg with one year left on his deal, signing a pass catching TE like Eric is big.
