Wilson or Ebron? Who would you rather have?

There's no reason for Ebron to rush into signing with apparently several interested teams. Might as well make his rounds and take the best offer. What's going to hurt us is that he definitely wouldn't be starting for us this year but if he's looking out for his best long-term interests we could very well be his best option. Being able to learn behind a guy like Greg Olsen might do him some serious good.

We should definitely sign Wilson , it's clearly a BPA philosophy move in "Free Agency".

Man I don't think we will ever see a good two te set like we had with Olsen and Shockey. People on here want to say Dickson was good but he had one good game against Detroit while Olsen was out. That's it he was garbage so glad he went to Seattle. Cam needs all the playmakers he could get. Add Wallace for cheap as well.

Anyone cool if we don't get either dude?

I mean, Willson and Ebron aren't really anything that special.  There is way too much optimism about a bust for the most part in Ebron and a never-starter "solid backup" in Willson.  Meh.  Next.

Willson still waiting: Luke Willson visited Detroit Saturday but departed without a deal being struck with the Lions and could make more visits. Willson has already visited Carolina and Jacksonville. A member of the Seahawks the last five years, it’s unclear if returning to Seattle is an option. He also hit the market last year before returning on a one-year deal worth $1.8 million. Seattle has already signed Ed Dickson to add to the tight end corps and has Nick Vannett and Tyrone Swoopes on the roster, as well. But that doesn’t preclude a possible return for Willson as Seattle will surely add a few more tight ends before training camp. Detroit had a particular appeal to Willson since it is close to his hometown of LaSalle, Ontario.

Both are upgrades at this point but Ebron because he is younger he has the ability to be consistent making catches and he has speed. Wilson makes since for a traditional blocking TE or H-back role. He can sneak out from time to time and punish some teams who don’t pay attention but outside of that he has been a developing player.

lol why is this thread still on the front page

Luke Wilson hasn't had more than 20 catches since 2014, when he put up a whopping 22

Ebron has the 5th most catches all time for a TE his age.

Ebron is a low risk high reward move. Wilson is ed Dickson.

There's no discussion here.

Plus Willson is Canadian. Jk

There are other options and neither guy really warrants extensive discussion.
