Ebron has visits scheduled with the Colts, Patriots, and Ravens.  I hope we don’t let him leave without a contract.

It's possible he already left. DNewton said Panthers don't expect any more moves today.

Of course an hour after he tweeted that we acquired Zach Banner off waivers. So who knows

I went and looked up some more stats on Ebron in the pros, and I feel we absolutely have to keep him in Charlotte.  I REALLY hope they don't let him leave.  I know the drops have been an issue, but he is similar to Ginn in the sense that, yeah, he might drop some, but he is a threat to score every time he touches it.  Not only is it about what he could present as a weapon in 2018, but he could also *possibly* carry the TE mantle when Greg hangs it up.  It would be great to have him learn from him for a year...

We must get a backup TE yes but not necessarily Ebron. Luke Willson would actually be a better fit since he can block.

Just my opinion, but you can teach a guy to block...  I prefer Ebron because he is only 24 years old.

Looks like it's not happening he was suppose to come today and they said Panthers would not be making any more moves today

Sometimes players don’t sign when they visit. He may want to explore options and not be a 2 TE or he may want to explore options. There is still a chance.

I would say 90 percent of the time if the guy leaves without signing he isn't going to sign with that team

I agree with this usually, but I have a feeling we're still in the running...  his last tweet, still on the day of his visit with us, was this:

He was then scheduled to meet with Indy today, and "potentially" but not confirmed, with Patriots later.

I gotta think he would like our situation better with Cam and the potential to become the #1 TE when Greg retires than what Indy has to offer, and I would think we would offer more money than the Pats, if they are indeed interested.  So, I think what it comes down to is his role and whether he'd be willing to be the 2nd TE here for now.
