Poe plays smaller than he is. Jarrett ate up more double teams than he did. Im sure ATL would have had him back at 6-8 a year but he chased the money. He’s good for what he’s asked for. But I see people say he’s a huge reason for Atlanta’s defensive improvement and that’s honestly false. Atlanta’s defensive improvement came because Deion Jones, De’vondre Campbell, and Keanu Neal were rookies in 2016, and they had great roomie campaigns and even grew this past year. And Takk flashed. Atlanta’s corners have always been okay. Poe was just another piece to the puzzle. Isn’t a world beater by any means and shouldn’t be paid close to what Damon Harrison is, but here we are.

I don’t buy this.  Poe graded out at an impressive 81.5, which is above average.  All the while fighting thru injuries.  Star on the other hand graded out at 49.5, which is poor. Poe is a much better player and was a key cog for Atlanta.  Just see the way their fans reacted to him coming here.  They hated seeing him leave.

I have a feeling that assessment you quoted was from a spurned Failcon fan.

Ive been saying this for a long time. you dont draft a guy in the first round to be a rotational player and never become a Starter.

Except, no matter how much you repeat it, that's not what he was drafted for.

Which he had been "fighting thru" the previous 2 years at KC.

When's he gonna be done "fighting thru injuries"?  At $9M per year, lets keep our fingers crossed its finally this year.

It’s the NFL.  I’m pretty sure players play thru injuries their entire career.  Cam has never been fully healthy each season.
