Right. That actually brings down his value. Slot WRs are paid on average less than outside WRs. Guys who can stretch the field are paid on average more than underneath possession type WRs. Amendola is still a solid slot WR, but he's nothing special and he's going to make more than Torrey Smith this season. It's just been a crazy year for FA WR contracts.

He's given out more long term deals then short term, if he was building a one year team he would have resigned Star and Norwell. Would've thrown big money at Robinson or Watkins...ext

 

instead he made a smart trade for Smith by giving up Worley who lost playing time to a player they didn't tender....

 

 

Let that sink in, Worley lost playing time to a player that the Panthers didn't tender...He was never making the team. Ala Hurney made a smart move.

I can only contribute the value of an expert opinion, honed in the trenches and blazing with truth. I know your pea brain goes haywire when the groupthink is challenged, but I don't have any way to help you.
