I think he'll go home and be a Saint. They have figured out ways around the arbitrary salary cap. Damn you @saints4lifeagain

I don't think he fits much of a need, at this point, especially at his price tag. Would expect him to be a Jet.

From what I hear, the Saints are making a "hard push" for Suh. Won't leave much wiggle room if they work it out.

I feel like he has one year or less and he doesn’t care what happens after that because he knows he’s not going to be here. New ownership is going to want their guy. The shortsightedness of people here is incredible at some points.

We are going to have some serious holes all over this team next year that are going to need to be filled. With a mound of veterans leaving and contracts coming up. If we keep any of these guys everything is shot to poo. I prefer gettlemans theory. Plan and simple. I like most of you lives through the shitty shitty years Hurney produced, including 1-15 and a cap hell. I have no interest in doing the same thing over again.

We don’t have any clue how this team is going to perform either with the amount of coaching and player turnover we had. It’s all theoretical at this point.

I understand your thought process, but it's not realistic. To believe that Hurney doesnt care about this job, and to assume that new management will fire him out the gate is pure assumption/speculation about something you know nothing about.

If anything, this year is a try out year for Hurney. If he nails, he will most likely keep his job. If Hurney didnt care we would have kept stewart, coleman and johnson.

Those holes you speak of.... will most likely be addressed in this draft, and with our YUGE cap next year leaves us plenty of room to retain the core, and bring in top level talent. However, we won't know until then.

I think there's a legitimate shot he comes here now. Jesus this would solve the secondary issues completely. So of course it won't happen. I'd still trade up for Derwin even if we did get him.

He's the type of player that can put you over. We have a shot at the SB if he signs.

The whole plan is foolish. He’s building a one year team. The variables after that... That’s my point.

Oh! please... explain this "one year team..."

Are you referring to Kalil, Peppers, and Davis retiring after this season? Damn Hurndog! It's his fault they have played in the league so long!

Want to talk one year teams? See Gettleman and his one year prove it deals and then letting them walk.

You mean Ryan Kalil, Julius Peppers, Thomas Davis, possible Greg and perhaps others? We will be going full rebuild next year with a lot less cap space and contracts coming up.

There is a reason JR is the ONLY owner interested in hiring Hurney and he ended up as a radio host. I don’t have any reason to believe a new owner would be any different unless JR tries to force it into the terms.

I actually wouldn't be too bothered about you guys getting him. I think he's a headache

Marty has drafted all the Panthers greats aside from one. I don't understand how people continue to throw shade on the guy. He is going to get us a very good 1st rounder and after that who knows, but we'll most likely get a damn good contributor.

This coming out shows Marty is in it to win it, so is Cam, so is Pep,Luke, TD,Greg....

Anything less then a playoff appearance and a Superb Owl and I don’t see him keeping the job. Playoffs were the norm for us under Gettleman. Not a bad norm. Bar is set pretty high. Remember last years team was still 90% Gettlemans team, with continuity at coaches. We are now stepping into the unknown.

Don’t get me wrong I still have faith in our core and Ron.

You are right though. This year is going to decide the path of this team for at least a few years to come. Let us hope it isn’t full rebuild.
