Developing Trade pending with Raiders

Maybe Byrd? Byrd is better than Samuel

Byrd has had one good game and got hurt in every game he appeared in.  Samuel was a 2nd round rookie who spent the entire offseason and early parts of the season injured.  When he finally got healthy, the coaches traded KB because of how he was looking in practice and wanted to get him more looks.  He was showing improvement each game and I think he has a ton of upside.  Samuel is not expendable, Byrd might be and definitely is if we can bring in better receivers.

If you are a naysayer of the Kelvin trade, you don't read enough.  Hurney made the right call.  We have 2 tall and slow receivers with similar skill sets, destroying our run game.  Post Kelvin: run game goes up by average of 50 yards.  The mistake wasn't trading Kelvin.  It was not signing more depth after releasing him.  After Byrd and Samuel both went down, we lost the war of attrition.

I'm not.  I'm just telling you that we traded our best receiver last year, so why can't we trade Funchess this year?

There are reports all over the internet about the Raiders having to let Crabtree go if they sign Jordy

Now, is it hard to think the Panther would offer something to a team to get a player?  You know like offering a young CB for a WR. They did it once.

It's not that far fetched guys, not saying it would happen, but it is not crazy.  At the same time, a dozen or more teams probably have similar offers for Crabtree out there

Im not saying it is sketch but.....

you posted this at 9, which is 6 in the morning in California...

Just an FYI, so are the Raiders even up that early?

Well If I am Oakland and I am trying to work out a deal with Jordy Nelson before the deadline.  I am probably in the war room working my ass off overnight.

They roughly have 6 hours to get this done.  If they land him then they have to work out details for Crabtree.

I would also think this info was probably obtained sometime yesterday.

Because it would be stupid if we go into the season with Torrey Smith as our #1

Not denying that, only discussion around dealing Funchess would be predicated on getting Crabtree.  Not sure how you missed that point.

I know, I was more making a joke about California.
