You know how many offers for made in situations like this sometimes the teams takes the best offer and runs with it or they talk to the player and ask him what he wants and try to be respectful of his wishes. Carolina makes alot of offers like this to teams low risk high reward. Most of them you never heard about because the team either goes with another offer from a team with a higher pick of they just release the player so they can go where they want to go. There was more stuff that he told me we were working on but again they are all scenarios nothing is locked. GM actually have intel and know what players can be had or about to get released or on the bubble months before we know anything. Its all about what they can get the player. Also we didnt just offer Worley to the eagles....they were just the only team that agreed to the offer. We also offered Worley to Arizona for JJ Nelson and offered him to broncos for latimer, but those offers where declined. I'm most deals or offers you never hear about and there is no link.

Funchess plays the X, Crabtree the Z and Smith is rightly relegated to being a situational deep threat... or better yet is cut to make room for players we actually need.

You get Crabtree for a 7th round pick.   This forum would have anointed Hurney a GM god had he pulled this off a month ago.

Hopefully, Crabtree and the Panthers renegotiates a deal that keeps him here longer.  He's a quality vet and a weapon I think Cam could really use.
