Could we trade a pick for him and then restructure his deal to make it longer terms but smaller cap hit in 2018?

Could we cut Shepard and save money, cutting into his 2018 cap hit?

I wasn't much of a Crabtree fan when he come out of college but he has the ability to be a go to guy.

It won't happen, every year someone posts poo like this, claiming inside info, but can never prove it, and then it never happens. Don't get me write g, I actually have always liked Crabtree, but I know not to feed trolls either

No doubt, I'd have to believe Shepard would be toast, and I think I've seen 2M would be the savings if we cut him.

As far as restructuring, I can't see Crabtree doing it.  He only has this 2018 and 2019 left on his current contract with this year being a 7.7M hit and next year being 8.2M.

Gotta think about the cap hit. Most times it is because the team needs to shed salary so they'd give the player away, if allowed.

I don't see this as feeding a troll.

 

One thing to point out is that the OP did say we Offered a pick to Oakland, and that it is contingent upon Jordy signing with the Raiders.

That doesn't mean other teams won't offer more than the Panthers are willing to pay, or that Oakland won't just say no.

So yes, in a way the OP is protected from that standpoint but who cares? It's fun to think about.
