Even if this is true and we can get him, I have a hard time believing Jordy is in the works too...  

I also would be excited as Crabtree is a legit receiver, but he still isn't a blazer.  Still...  a trio of Nelson (even over the hill), Crabtree, and Smith with Samuel and Byrd would be INCREDIBLE, and our greatest collective unit save only for Smitty, Moose, and Proehl.

I think he's talking about the raiders cutting Crabtree to sign Nelson. Not us

This trade assumes the Raiders land Jordy.

Why?  The story seems legit.   Why would he make this up?   Will it happen, no one knows but a conditional pick seems worth the chance of getting him.

I wasn't much of a Crabtree fan when he come out of college but he has the ability to be a go to guy.
