Would love to add Crabtree, but nothing about this "rumor" (or more likely, blatant troll job) seems believable.

Also, I don't know where we're coming up with the $7M to cover Crabtree's cap hit, plus re-signing Peppers, plus signing our rookies and roster filling veteran minimum type players.

we still have a decent amount of cap. Cut shep and fuzzy and we'll be fine

Suggesting that there are dozens of trades ready to go down any second or that there's a huge trade board out where just any intern can see it kinda makes the whole thing sound dubious.

And honestly, I fail to see the appeal of trolling for attention with fake news.  It pretty much always backfires when what you say you heard was gonna happen doesn't happen.

Now, if the OP is actually repeating something that a friend told them, I'd suspect the friend is either lying to you about being a Panthers intern or - if that's verifiable - lying about what they've seen or heard for attention.

Any way you go, I just don't see this happening.

Yea, in his defense, they fought the second time.  That has to happen, regardless of what you do for a living.  One of the reasons I checked to see if we played the Rams this season before I decided I wanted him.  You can almost guarantee they will be suspended if they face off again.

If you must know my friend is an IT intern during the free agent period .......they set up a connect hub in the war room and so he makes sure everyone is connect to the internet that all there device ipad phone and laptops etc etc are working. Also to be honest ...hurney is not even the one who contacts the players, the numbers guy talks to the agent and works out the number and then hurney gives the OK.   And yes they do have a board because the scouts all have certain guys they want and they compare current NFL players to draft eligible players . the board is smart board so they send information to it. but since you know everything oh well.......
