First day of Free Agency is about done. What do you guys think of Carlos Hyde as an option?

For Hyde and the right price I’m down, fill as many holes possible before the draft. Hyde can catch and run when healthy, splitting carries may benefit him.

 

but there is the organization obsession of having quality players ride the pine, maybe time to see what cap has in a increased role

Safety and DL/OL depth left in FA. Then draft BPA of WR, RB, S, DE, TE in draft. Depending on who slips, would still love to trade back and have both of Cleveland’s high 2nd rounders. Think we could get 1 of the top 3 on our board at both WR and RB.

Agree with all who mentioned finding talent in the draft. Guice would be my pick if available, easy to see the comparison between him and Fournette. Not sure if he fits with Norv’s scheme, but dude is legit

I was thinking more along the lines of 2-3 mill. I don't know where the hell people got 6-7 million. That makes no sense. No way in hell is he worth that.

The Browns have a TON of money they have to spend this season. They're going to be overpaying some guys just to get them to live in Cleveland. This deal would put him around the seventh highest paid RB - so far this year. Barkley will end up making more with whatever team drafts him. 

Hyde has had some injuries, but he's a good back. Considering they're paying a premium to get him to play for the Browns, I don't think it's that unreasonable. He's not over the hill yet.

Browns going Hyde is stupid. Maybe they still draft Barkley and let him sit? then you're wasting a rookie contract. Jesus the draft is going to be nuts.
