As of today, are the Panthers better or worse?

The correct way to answer this is we are better at CB and WR. We are worse at OG and DT. Stew is a wash.

I honestly can't recall one of these announced deals when the player turned around and signed elsewhere. I think their agent would really be advising them against it. Agents have to maintain some form of good faith working agreement with NFL GMs.

Worse. We lost a good role player and a All pro guard. We have picked up two average players. Can't say that's getting better. If we started today the Saints would rip us apart easily.

I think we can find a quality guard in the draft to replace norwell. Its just a matter of making the right choice. Butler HAS GOT to be some type of replacement for Star to justify that draft pick, no more spot duty.

Better at positions of need.

Norwells replacement may already be on the roster. Butler has been waiting in the wings and Kyle Love is pretty good.

We improved two positions of need and didn’t pay a whole lot for it.

We already knew we were going to lose Star and Norwell.

significantly worse. lost an All Pro Guard, an underrated DT, okay young CB with experience in our system and picked up a mediocre CB and declining WR. at least we extended our notoriously unreliable kicker though!

As of right now, we are better at the WR and CB positions. I doubt if we'd become better on the o-line because I don't see us signing someone that will come in and immediately be better than Norwell. The DT & RB positions have yet to be decided.

The real question is are we better off with Worley, Star @ 5/50, and Norwell @ 5/66.5 (No future due to fuged cap/Old Hurney strategy that so many of you hated) or the small moves we have made (Smith and Breeland)  with more to come, along with cap flexibility?

I feel like the answer is pretty fuging easy.
