He's a pro who will likely be mentoring a young RB, and can still pass protect.

Likely going to look like a 1 year 3M contract when all is said and done.

He said in certain situations and if the load becomes too much. That's about as much as of a yes you will get out of a coach these days.

That's not even close to a yes. Especially not given that when Shurmur was asked if he were calling the plays, he actually did say yes directly.

He said that was the plan and it could change. Running a football team and play calling is a load. McAdoo was a good OC but it fell apart when he had to juggle both.
