Anybody can start a CB on a rookie contract and watch him get burned like toast.

When has the market for a veteran CB ever been particularly cheap? Maybe we should have called up Cason to see what he's doing.

you know what else has been a great corner back these past few years? this guy called 51-28-1. you think hurney can get us that guy?

Hanging your hat on backing into the playoffs with a losing record and going 6-10 after a Super Bowl appearance definitely sounds like Jerry Richardson football. Cherry on top is we still haven't accomplished back to back winning seasons.

the seahawks also “backed into the playoffs” with a losing record under carroll and schneider and followed that up with a losing season before they had their 2012-2014 run

and also, 80% playoff qualification rate

what else you got?

If Gettleman did this, the Gettleman supporters would love it. The hurney lovers are backing their man. I just want to give our franchise qb some real actual help

Not necessarily.  Speaking as a Gettlemen defender I am infinity more confident in his ability to identify a player that fits the team over Hurney any day.  But I would still wait to decide if his gamble paid off until the season is over.

You see, unlike most of you Gman haters we dont think every player we sign is the missing piece before they ever suit up or think a draft pick is a bust after one season.
