It's a legit concern I have. I could definitely see Roquan Smith slipping to #24 and us pouncing. I think he has the ability to be a very good NFL player but it would certainly be a disappointing pick and a continuation of a recent trend of spending 1st round picks on positions where the guy is unlikely to see much playing time early on (Shaq and Butler).

I prefer to use an ice pick thrust in just below the base of the skull.  It's quick and considerably less messy.  But sometimes making a mess sends a better message.
