There was a huge difference when R. Kalil played. The problem has been his health the past two years. Can we really rely on him? I agree though that there is no point cutting him if we weren't going to go after any top tier FAs but Kalil $ shouldn't prohibit spending.

He was injured. It happens. Just because he didn't play doesn't mean he isn't still an incredible talent at his position. None of you are the team doctor so stop acting like you know anything about his health. If we keep him it will be because the docs and team believes he will and can play all year. Making snap judgements based on zero real information is completely unnecessary.

7 games played, 11,000,000 cap hit last year. 

Most of those were at the end of the season so hopefully that is an indication he is healthy. 

He most certainly is the leader of our line and the center Cam is most comfortable with. 

Lets just hope he stays healthy.

I mean yeah the line was better with him but like someone said he been injured prone for the last 2 years, and the money were paying him isn't worth it. Larsen also showed he''s more than capable of being this team's center going forward.

Eh, I'm not sure Ryan boosted our offense significantly enough to be worth what we're paying him this year.

You also have to factor in how many games he actually winds up playing. To be worth it, it definitely has to be more games than he played last year.

I'm still waiting for anyone to point out any offensive statistic that points to our offense being significantly better with Ryan Kalil last year vs. without him. Obviously stats don't tell the whole story, but anytime you're trying to justify a nearly $10M cap hit for an aging, injury prone player you'd hope to at least be able to point to something statistically that shows we're significantly better with him vs. without him.
