What’s insteresting is that the OP has never had an issue in the past telling us what Peppers is gunna do when it’s in regards to him signing with us...which leads me to believe he’s retiring...why else wouldn’t he be coming out and simply saying, “he’s coming back for another year”....maybe OP was told “ay he’s retiring but u gotta promise not to say anything cuz Julius wants to announce this himself”

And that ladies and gentlemen is me overthinking this like a MFer hahah

I know this about Sig--he went to WCU, so he is prone to toy with lesser, Non-WCU mortals.  Do not take it personally--it is a side effect of extreme elitism.  I too have swigged the nectar from the mighty Tuckasegee River, the elixir of infinite knowledge that bestows upon the pure in heart wisdom and virtue. 

Now, having also bathed in the therapeutic waters of the mighty Tuck on numerous occasions, I also possess the wisdom and virtue to ask,

"What the heck, Sig?"

Now that you’ve explained the source of confusion, those of us lucky enough to not know where the hell Cullowhee is, can go back to our normal (App St Loving) lives.

I know the Pep camp stayed in touch with Becker but all contact ceased with Hurney, I think the Friday before the news became public.  Either way, regardless of day of the week it was a 2 or 3 days before anything went mainstream.

I have never been told any info that makes me believe Julius has any personal dislike or aversion to Marty but, I do know he expressed many, many times how happy he was to be at home, how well he was treated by the COACHING staff, how he pretty much dictated his own weekly regimen during the regular season and how much he wanted to win a ring here.

 

I don't know...the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get...I know he wants/wanted to win a ring here but which part is more important to Pep, "winning a ring" or "winning a ring here"?  I dunno, fug me.

I do know he loved being here last year but I also know he wants a ring.”
