i agree with you on every point here, really. like i said in another thread the other day, you can't even make a thread here without first getting several pages of "this poo again" or insults to the OP, etc. it's super toxic

but i don't think people are going to any other Panthers places, i think overall interest in following the team is just declining.

    I realize folks have lives. Which can account for some of the falloff. But man, that doesn't explain why so many posters seem to have disappeared. Cause and affect. The bickering, snarkiness, and out and out aggression up in here has had an effect.

    I agree that even as bad as this place is becoming, it is still the best place going. I have been looking, off and on, for a while now. One place was a ghost town, another only had, what 5 guys. So yeah, it does appear as though it is this place, or no place.

 

    I just miss talking football. And you just cannot do that around here anymore.

Right--every thread is different, even if the topic is the same.  They need to simply close the thread and go to another, but no.

I can say that some of this was from people who are close to Sig and messing with him, but there were some others who feel that their Jr. Moderator plastic badge gives them authority.

Sig is a great guy and he and I have PM'd a bit.  His folks are in their mid 70s and they have raised him well, and he rightly feels indebted to them.  If anyone on here feels that he is to abide by their standards, they will be disappointed.

I know of a ton of members who have left/stopped posting because of how toxic It is on here. Hell I probably have posted half of what I used too in the last few years. 

 

Sadly most of the internet has followed suit with the direction the huddle is going. So much hate and toxicity now a days.

Wouldn't be a good look for Pep to "come home" and then do this again. Nobody else thought he was still a 10 sack guy.

I understood it wasn't meant that way, but to be fair just italics wasn't enough to make that clear. Emojis and gifs probably work better.

    Yeah, I may still live here, but I rarely post anymore. Just not worth the hassle.

 

    I get that with twitter, and texting folks are used to that 1 sentence hot take. They can be funny, and even sarcastic. But that has been going on for so long folks are used to it.

 

    But man. Nowadays folks can go from civil, to hateful at the drop of the hat. Where did all that hate come from. I mean, around here, all you have to do is disagree with someone, and the next thing you know you are dodging bullets. 

 

    Oh well, I'm old. I guess I just don't understand why insults are so prevalent?
