His deep game is what defines him. The Eagles didn't use him that way. That doesn't make him a different person. 

It similar to how Ginn wasn't used this way in SF but was here. If you knew of him this wouldn't need to be spelled out for you.

I think it’s likely that the Panthers decline Smith and cut him and that this was just a move to cut Worley without having any dead money

We should be looking at his San Fran highlights with kaep throwing Him the ball over the eagles last year. No doubt he has drop issues but when he’s used correctly he’s a huge asset

That’s interesting, what would the cap penalty be for that? Once the trade is final don’t we absorb his cap cost?

anyway...we traded for a speed WR which we need...if Smith hit the market he would command money like all these bullpoo contracts that number 2s and 3s are getting lately.

Smith has sideline speed. We need sideline speed. So it does appear to work. If we have Funches, Smith, Byrd, and Samuel healthy.... that does leave space for a bigger/slower guy. Or an underneath guy. Or... just a young talent that could be a no.1
