   Denver is not exercising the 5th year option on Shane Ray after drafting Chubb

Doesnt look like he is in their plans.

Kid has the athletic ability and played 4-3 DE in college (been playing 3-4 OLB in Denver)

These are exactly the types of deals the Panthers need to jump on.

For whatever reasons, the Jaguars declined Dante Fowler’s 5th yr option. Probably due to off field but too talented and stayed away from trouble last season. Had his best season last year. 

 

Now, he’s someone I would like to look at.

I believe Cliff Avril lives in the Charlotte area during the off season. I think his wife is from here.

He would be a good young pick up for us. Also he would play on the defense with a former teammate who I expect to have a big year in Bryan Cox Jr.

Was he on the practice squad last year or something? I heard  a few people say he may be a big surprise.

Don't forget that dude we got from the international program last year. I thought he showed flashes in preseason so maybe he sticks this season. My sleeper pick for breakout at DE this year is Horton and if he does he will have damn sure earned it. He's been cut and resigned half a dozen times but the potential and yearly improvement is evident. If he can just get his pass rush to match his run stuffing, he "could" be scary in our rotation.
