The posters who join this time of year are almost invariably the worst type of knee jerk over-reactive type of posters. Fortunately they usually don't last long once moderation tightens down when the season draws nearer. 

WE DON'T NEED A SPEED RECEIVER.  WE NEED A RECEIVER WHO CAN WIN AT THE LOS AND GET OPEN ON BASIC ROUTES.  WE DON'T NEED A GUY WHO CAN ONLY RUN UNTOUCHED DOWN THE FIELD WITH HIS HANDS UP.

Why is this so difficult for you to understand?  What does it matter if he has no guaranteed money?  He's going to be the only receiver we sign and we'll use him the entire year to mediocre results and pay him $5 mil to do it.... then next year we are going to still not know how good Samuel/Byrd are and we STILL won't have a long term solution.  Adding Smith was POINTLESS

My neighbor kid can run pretty fast and his pretty big for his age. Looks pretty good catching the ball in the backyard with his dad. Want his number? I figure he's worth at least 3 years/$20M.

It's a sign of desperation.  Teams are overpaying for marginal talent because it's all that's out there.

Gonna need to be masters at the draft to win in this climate.
