Ya, I get pretty upset when people want to justify a crap signing because YOU think they are injury prone (whatever that means anyway).  I assure you we could've found someone equally as bad as Torrey for less than half what we are going to pay him.

We didn't "sign" Torrey Smith. We traded a CB who was probably going to be cut anyway. Sammy Watkins just got $16M per year. Wait until you see the numbers some of these FA WRs are going to get. Smith at $5M per season with no guaranteed money is going to look really good. He fills a niche. I highly doubt we acquired him with thinking that we were adding a superstar.

Ya, instead we should ship out a 23 year old corner/safety in return for an overpriced 29 year old player who only had 2,100 recv yards in the last 4 seasons combined.

What a time to be alive.

Ro Riv didnt much care for that 23 year old corner/safety or it probably wouldnt have happened.

So cut him?  Why bring in someone pointless like Torrey Smith?  Nothing but wasted cap space.

Broken.  It was reported shortly after he was placed on IR.  They didn't hold a press conference if that's what you mean?

I don't recall that and a quick Google isn't coming up with anything other than "lower leg injury". He also tore the meniscus in his knee last spring. I'm not saying that Samuel and/or Byrd are definitely injury prone, what I'm saying is that if they turn out to be the signs were there. Hopefully they were just flukes.

How were the signs there that his ankle would be obliterated during a tackle in which all an opposing players weight fell on his lower leg and ankle?
