For that past two years, the majority of the Huddle has screamed that Worley sucks. All last year, the Huddle screamed that we badly missed Ginn and we needed a deep threat.

Fast forward a couple of months and we trade Worley for a deep threat WR and now a good chunk of the Huddle is in an uproar about it.

Sometimes I just have to chuckle.

Not exactly true.  Those screaming then are not the ones disliking the moves now.   You see it's those of you in an uproar over those of us the are meh about it.

I think the move is a push if they were truly going to cut Worley anyway.   Which I don't understand since the depth at corner is non-existent.  I would have kept him for depth at least.

I don't subscribe to the #1 wr hoopla but I do think they need a player at least on the level of Fun Fun, preferably better, but at least as good.  Sure he's fast but right now that's a luxury with Samuel, assuming he comes back 100% from that break...it's was bad.

But I'm not in an uproar over Smith, just think it was pointless as it stands now.

I keep coming back to something...how in the world is someone going to pay Cousins that kinda money?  Jeez, he is a decent QB but no way I give him that kinda deal.  So glad we don't need a QB.

Well, Garappollo got almost 28 million per year, so....

We cut Boston when we were thin at safety too. I just wonder if both of them weren't due more to off the field stuff. Sounded like Boston may have been on the pro-protest train and Worley didn't handle his benching well at all basically taking no ownership what so ever for his own subpar play. If we already had it in our minds to look to upgrade the CB position then maybe we were just beeing proactive in trying to get something out of Worley rather than cut him largely because we knew he'd be a poor sport about his coming benching.

The way I see it is that we got a WR that at least on paper fits a niche in the WR corps that we sorely lacked last year.

Yeah, I think Garapollo will be a great player but you are right on...these QBs are getting crazy dollars right now.  Also, if I am Denver or Sota I would offer a really big 2-3 year deal to Brees and just see.  Why not?  He could win them a Super Bowl.  3 years 75 mill or so.  :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

If you're choosing between him and Luke Wilson, who do you take?

I believe Eifert has done more with a less superior qb. I’m taking a flyer on him.

Luke Wilson had the opportunity to emerge for a year or two before they signed graham and Just never could emerge as anything but a JAG.

Just my opinion though.

That's okay. Your opinion is what I was asking for

Brees is likely getting more than $25M per season. Brees for $25M per would be a bargain considering what these other far less proven QBs are getting.
