Here is $20m, Kalil Bros., hope you stay motivated.  Not knocking you--this may be a part of it.  I  would rather play a rookie at LT and save $30m than to watch Matt get rich enough to buy hot babes while Cam limps into the blue tent.

I hear ya, I don't think we can really cut Matt which was my point (we are stuck with him) but I hear ya...if he is paid he should do his job whether Ryan is here or not.

Jackson disagrees.

Yep. So did The Golden Calf of Bristol and Eric Crouch before him. Neither were long for the NFL. All three were GREAT college players and Heisman winning QBs. Two for sure weren't NFL caliber QBs. I don't think the 3rd one is either.

Yeah, I'm not understanding this Allen hype at all. IMO, he he's the one sure-fire slam dunk bust in this draft. I think Lamar Jackson is right behind him, but I'd give Jackson the better odds of the two due to his ability to run and simply playing against higher level competition in college. Ultimately, I think Jackson needs to switch positions at the NFL level.

While Jackson's stats are slighty better than Allens, he still projects poorly at the NFL level as a passer.  If you can't throw 60% of your passes for completions in college, you have no chance in the NFL.

You forgot Pat White.

Saw notes about Joe Thomas possibly retiring and thought, Hmmm, maybe M Kalil could be a Brown and his brother could watch if the Browns are still in a trading mood

Geez. This has been deathly slow. I know the official stuff happens Wednesday but i thought i remember a lot of early deals last few years that were announced as agreements that would be signed.

Is everyone waiting for Cousins to see if he gets a fully guaranteed deal?

It's not a great free agent market.

This. I try not to over-emphasize any one particular statistical category, but there really does seem to be a line drawn in the sand at the 60% mark for college QBs. If you're under that number, you're practically guaranteed to be a bust in the NFL. Michael Vick is the only guy I can come up with off the top of my head that bucks that trend and he was obviously a generational type athlete. Jackson is a great athlete no doubt, but he's not Vick.

I guess and the trades too. Just seems like very little action.

I go back to what Breer said.

He figures more trades, less big names in free agency and increased emphasis on the draft is the future of NFL personnel management.
