Vikes are set to offer Captain Kirk 3 years 91 million FULLY GUARANTEED.

If anyone listened to Zimmer last week you knew they'd bust their load for Cousins. Zimmer basically came out and said who is Keenum: is he the guy he's been his ENTIRE career or the guy we got last year.

Honestly nothing in me tells me that Case is the guy we saw this past year. Then you pair Teddy's maturation and development being on hold due to his injury and Bradford never staying healthy and this is what you get.

Cousins doesn't wow you but the vikings felt like he was more of a known commodity then anyone else on their roster and their absolutely right about that.

Not if it's a truly fully guaranteed contract. That would be a HUGE game changer.

I meant the absurdity in one upping previous guaranteed amounts. Sure it's a huge jump, but it was inevitable. I think it's a matter of when not if we see the first guaranteed contract approach 100 million. Especially with the demand of quality starting QB's now.

Why? This makes no sense. Vikings already have a good option at QB in Keenum....

They don't believe in Case and I don't really blame them. Yes he played well for them,  but he's been ass his whole career and then when he plays with an elite defense with no pressure of being replaced most of the season he does well.

He was really playing with house money; if he does bad well poo he's always been bad what did you expect, but if he played well it was a pleasant surprise. Obviously they think it was a fluke and can't replicate the same situation after he and other players get paid.

A couple years ago (before he was a starter and the “you like that”) I met Kirk and his wife. They have a modest house in a neighborhood just a couple of blocks away from me.

They are super down to earth and, at the time made the comment that they are saving as much of the back-up QB money he was making as they could to hopefully be able to live a comfortable life post his (perceived) short playing career.

They still live in this house during the off-seasons (his wife’s family lives in Alpharetta) and I know they are still active around because we have a lot of mutual friends. I couldn’t be more happy for the Cousins, it couldn’t happen to a better guy!

I honestly thought the NFL owners might have some type of behind the scenes collusion agreement against them. They've fought tooth and nail against guaranteed contracts. If that domino falls - and shortly before the current agreement with the NFLPA expires - you KNOW the NFLPA is going to have guaranteed contracts on the table in that bargaining room and the NFL is going to have to make some pretty big concessions to avoid it in the next agreement. The Vikings are about to really piss off the rest of the league if this indeed goes down.
