Don't know, but signing players is something that general managers actually do. Hiring assistant coaches isn't.

If it were up to the GM, Pat Shurmur would have been our OC in 2013.

And yet the rumors are that GMan wanting to keep Shula while Rivera wanted to move on is the reason Gman is gone. Circumstantial evidence supports this as Rivera dumped him the first offseason he could.

Yeah, that's not an actual rumor. That's a bulls--t troll post started by one of our resident nimrods.

People with actual inside sources (i.e. Voth) have confirmed that Gettleman  tried to get Rivera to fire Shula and Dorsey last year. Rivera stuck his neck out to keep them, and Gettleman doesn't believe in overruling his head coach on assistant choices.

Gettleman himself confirmed that when our OC search what's going on, he lobbied for Shurmur but Rivera chose Shula.  And again, he wouldn't overrule him.

Shula's a glorified quarterback coach in New York anyway.

The quote of Gettlleman about Shurmur in Carolina says nothing about Gmans preference. It just says that Gman referred to the coordinator hiring as the job of the coach and he would not ever interfere.  It's possible that Dave preferred Shurmur then but it's not a fact. To pretend that there was some sort of drama about this is disingenuous.

Facts: Shula is working for Gettleman again. Shula was fired the first offseason after Gman's departure.

You're stretching to make something that isn't there. Doesn't matter to me, but you're wasting your time.
