Man, the tinfoil hat brigade is out strong today.

It’s a hypothesis. That said, Hurney can be played like a fiddle. The Giants leak interest in Gano then Hurney responds with Gano being a top target.

Y'all give DG way too much credit. This dude didn't even draft cam or luke..... ignored signing solid safeties and let josh Norman walk.... Y'all giving him waaaay too much credit... drafts a scatback in first round missing on Alvin kamara smh

outplaying your competition is not spiteful, and pointing this out is not finding solace.

I don't want Hurney here either but the borderline cheerleading on the part of some of you at the potential of DG torpedoeing us in FA in a critical year when we have Cam and Luke in their primes just to spite Jerry Richardson is plain ugly.

I get the frustration 100%, but I don't know why you bother to follow the team at all if you are that spiteful.

Star isn't staying on the east coast

KC would be a good landing spot for him. Closer to SLC. Either way he was leaving after 5 years. Norwell is the one that really is going to hurt. Well unless you believe Matt Kalil gets it year two.

Gettleman had no effect on the contract Gano received. It was market driven and a win-win. Gano was already making 3.1 million a year and now costs 1.1 million more after a probowl season.  As for Norwell and Star, Gettleman set up their departure when he signed Turner and KK. There is only so much to devote to a position group. Truth is we have enough cap room to sign both of them given year 1 contracts are always cap friendly. But we have other priorities and need safeties and DEs more than another nose tackle at this point. Norwell will be a big loss but honestly we could sign him if we wanted to.

Maybe he'll sign Russel Shepard if the Panthers cut him too.

Don't know, but signing players is something that general managers actually do. Hiring assistant coaches isn't.

If it were up to the GM, Pat Shurmur would have been our OC in 2013.
