I really see no need for Robinson. I mean he's a good possession guy but we have Funchess who can do everything he can and isn't injury prone. Watkins should be priority #1. Lock him up with a good signing bonus and a back loaded contract.

Funchess isnt injury prone?

the dude is always getting hurt, even when he plays through it.

Sanders? You mean Emmanuel? Had no clue they might cut him in Denver...didn't hear anything about that. I like Moncrief, Richardson, Austin (once he's cut), Wallace....hell I'd even be willing to add Jordan Matthews or take a flier on Kendall Wright on the cheap. Jeff Janis anyone?

Some rumblings a month ago that he could be a cap causality, him or Thomas, especially if they are going after Cousins

Watkins is not a top WR.  Sorry.

would rather have Jordan Matthews and Mike Wallace.

No. Both of those guys are just as injury plagued as Watkins. Watkins has some of the best tools in the league if he can stay healthy...

Close your eyes people . Remember when people were willing to trade up for Sammy Watkins? This is our chance to get him now

I am going to be shocked if we don't show any interest in him.

Of the big name WR's he seems the most realistic option for us to sign.

Because of the location he would be playing close to home. We also have a need for him to come in and be that #1 WR. We probably have a QB who he wants to play for in Cam Newton. The most important thing is the fit in the offense. Hurney/Ron already said we need a vet WR who can stretch the field with his speed. Add this report of us targeting a big name, the only name that makes sense is Sammy Watkins.

serious push?? We have like 20 mil or less cap room after draft picks and Gano signing..

New Orleans has less cap space than us, but they will still find a way to resign Drew Brees and sign Jimmy Graham.

I hope we do.pick up a receiver or two. But not by overspending especially on guys coming off injuries.  With Funchess, Olsen and McCaffrey accounting for the lion share of passes already, how many will there be to spread around to Samuel, Byrd and whoever we bring in during free agency and the draft.  We need a number 2 and a slot receiver if Samuel isn't ready or Byrd can't stay healthy. But we don't need to get into a bidding war over any receiver.
