It's that time of the year for me.

I think if you find a starting pass rusher for a 4-3 scheme at the bottom end of the first round, it would be 100 times more valuable than a zone corner honestly.

Rasheem Green...?

Rasheem Green doesn't come in and start, and might take 1-2 years to develop.

Agree that he needs a year however he would immediately enter the top 3 of our rotation as a rookie. "Start" is a misnomer.

Messaged him about how they are preparing for the top 10 to shake up, and I had mentioned he said four qbs in the top 10. I asked him to go into detail, he told me about what they have circled and the general sense of who will go where, and what will be available to them at their pick. He gave me a sort of scout mock draft if you will, the players he feels will go in the top 10.

Sam Darnold
Josh Allen
Josh Rosen
Baker Mayfield
Bradley Chubb
Quenton Nelson
Saquon Barkley
Derwin James
Tremaine Edmunds
Denzel Ward/Mike Hughes

Hmm no Josh Jackson or Will Hernandez? Proves how long I’d last as a scout...

Jackson had a real bad combine and struggled backpedaling.  Which is concerning to those who play man scheme.

He was a zone guy and has the traits to be a elite zone CB like Norman (hence the reason he's my #1 for the first)

Teams that run Zone heavy should have him real high, higher than other CBs.  Non zone heavy defenses will have him much much lower.  All depends on the scheme the person is scouting him.

Do people really think Gettleman will pull the trigger on a QB?

He is always a BPA/big uglies/old school giants where you really run the ball.  Unless the owner makes the pick, I just cant wrap my head around them drafting a QB.  Plus they just drafted one in the 3rd last year that they were really high on him in camp.

He doesn't think the Giants will go QB. Those players are not in order.

I haven't seen him mocked to the Giants at all, really...but I can see Gettleman picking Chubb and "shaking" up the draft.  Barkley or a QB makes sense...but Gettleman will have a hard on for Chubb and not want to pass on a pass rusher as he rebuilds that defense.

Edit...somehow missed that JPP was traded to the Bucs this week.  Yeah they're taking Chubb

I'm curious to see how far your guy thinks Billy Price might fall due to his injury @Verge .  Is it a pipe dream for him to be available at the end of the 2nd round?

I honestly don't think it is. Sometimes the NFL can be really short sighted with injuries and pass over a guy because of something that's just a short-term issue. Especially if he plays a non-premium position.

Same

The injury, but also the Center for Iowa shooting up.  Plus Wynn and Hernandez being up there to.  I fully expect him to fall to our spot in the 2nd.  People forget to.  He is almost identical as his former teammate Elflein who fell to the 3rd to the Vikings last year.

Both Elflein started at OG and were studs then made the transition to Center their senior year (Price actually followed Elflein because some thought he'd just stay at OG).

I can't see him reaching us, his injury wasn't that big of a deal, he could still go in the first.
