While Hurst isn't my favorite at 24...still not getting some of the hate.  The knock on him is his age...but he's still got 8-10 years in him as a Pro.  Not to mention, we'd control his contract until he's basically 30, and then due to his age, might not cash in if he pans out to be a Pro Bowl caliber guy.

Pros: Cam with two TEs, #2 TE we've needed since Shockey left, Olsen insurance.

Cons:  He's older, value might be iffy. 

Meh...there are worse picks. I mean seriously, imagine is Olsen has foot issues again or gets banged up. WR is in better shape. CB is in better shape.  Too early to take a safety. Would rather have one of the top CBs, Ridley, or Landry...but I'd rather have Hurst than reach for the 5th CB on the board.

That's what nobody understands if Olsen is out again we are in deep sh!t. Everyone wants to depend on Manhertz, give me a damn break. TE is the most important spot right now since we sign CBs and safety is not that important in our defensive system. No one can tell me different. So get ready TE will be the first pick!

If Hayden Hurst had gone to Vanderbilt he wouldn't be drafted till the fourth round

I wouldn't mind him but he isn't a great blocker. Hurst is the total package blocking and catching. That's what we want in this offense. Does nobody remember Olsen and Shockey. Cam's best year passing? Also we haven't shown any interest in him so that usually means no.

Hey like I told if you don't like my opinion to ignore me. It's been said by some pretty good sources we are looking at WR and if not there Hurst is most likely the pick. Can we just say if Hurst is the pick you have to leave the Huddle?

Why would I leave the Huddle if Hurst is the pick?

You'll leave the Huddle once you get banned when poster traffic picks back up and the mods start policing again. Of course, you'll be back again with a new user name because that's one aspect our mods completely fail at policing.
