Kenny Moore

There is a huge difference between having confidence in and deciding to play the best athlete at a particular position. Fox has played rookies before. Peppers and Otah come to mind. He might not have had confidence the way he might in a veteran, but he played them and let them make their mistakes.

And fwiw, Moore is returning kicks, so obviously the coach has some confidence in him.

As far as starting, well I am a Wake Forest fan, and I love seeing Kenny play, but even I would not have him supplant Moose or Smith.

no sir. Fox wont even commit on naming Moore the KR. and their comes a point where you let guys play. Moore showed potential in the preseason, and we don't know what he can do until he is included into the gameplan. thats what most coaches in this league do.

IMO, Moore has yet to earn the spot. He will have the opportunity to earn it on the field. A few more games like Sunday, and he will be the designated KR, no doubt about it.

I think he might make an impact at receiver, but I am not sure if we will throw enough passes to really give any third receiver a chance to shine. And I am more worried if we are throwing enough passes for the third receiver to make an impact. That usually means we are behind.

thats my whole point. i dont think we give guys the chance. Take Rosario and King. they proved that they can make plays, why not include them in the offense, and take some pressure off of Smitty and Jake.

We definitely give guys a chance. Just the wrong guys. Take Charles Godfrey for example.

We do more than you realize. 20% of Jake's completions have been to tight ends. That's not as much as some teams, but its still not a bad number. That being said, I agree we should use Rosario more. After Smith, he is our best downfield threat right now. But I honestly think thats more on Jake than the coaches. In the end, its him who makes the decision on who to throw to.

I really can't complain about the way the passes have been distributed this year. 44 to our wide receivers, 19 to our backs, and 14 to the tight ends is spreading it around decently. Its when we throw to the other team that I have a problem.

I think Fox should allow Davidson to open up the playbook more after all Jarrett only has 2 catchs & NO drops this yr but he has only been throwed to twice & how many drops have Kenny Moore this yr had NONE & yet Hoover has a few Hoover is a great Blocker & even our Rookie FB has had Drops so when we throw the ball let guys who can catch onthe field

Considering our current kick return game (which has for years been horrid), what he did last Sunday should make him our go to KR.

And considering our current WR core, he needs to be our 3rd WR. He should be at the least out there for deep routes instead of attempting those bs play calls with Moose. Put Kenny, Rosario and Smith in when we have 3 WR. Those are our fastest and seemingly relaible receivers this year. Moose's age has really caught up with him and it shows and Jarrett is in my humble opinion a waste of space.

I agree, although I will say that our Kick and Punt return game was pretty good last year. Jones was an effective returner.

Jones was effective in a sense, but we need someone with swagger. I think Moore brings that to the table. I just never was a fan of Mark Jones. He was more of a "safe" returner that was completely average and would never fumble, which I guess is 'effective' for us.

The most impressive looking Panthers receiver I have seen all year (preseason included) has been Kenneth Moore. He's caught everything thrown to him (which hasn't been much) and has more quickness than Moose or Jarret. Of course, since he's looked promising that guarantees that he won't get playing time under Fox. (Remember how impressive D-Will looked when Foster was here)

Everyone in the league thinks we are going to run.... wouldn't it be suprising if we came out with some 3 wide, no huddle action?!?! Jake seems to do better in the no huddle anyway. This team can really frustrates the crap out of me....

It really gets frustrating watching other teams use their rookies to put up big numbers on teams, and we got guys with just as much potential that only see 1 ball tossed their way every three games.

It does get frustrating watching other teams use their rookies to put up big numbers on teams, and we got guys with just as much potential that only see 1 ball tossed their way every three games.

It all boils down to coaching-coaching-coaching,or in the Panthers case,a lack of competent coaching and the boring Fox Ball approach.

How can you be the #3 WR and not still not have a spot on the team.
