Hubbard was like a 6.95.  He has the pedigree and the size.  Not really the production, but he was playing on a very stacked DL. This is the best I can do with inside info on the guy:  My brother-in-law has season tickets (He is a chiropractor in Columbus and an alumni).  He said that Hubbard is always around the ball--high motor. High character--but he says second rounder at best  I think he would be great in our scheme and like him in the first round since he ran that cone drill. The tools are there--teach him a move or two and coach him up.

From a value standpoint is is probably 30-40 so taking him at 24 would be a slight reach.  But, 43 DE's are pretty much rare in this draft.

Still love for Cleveland to trade back into the bottom of the first and us move to the top of the second

I don't like the idea of a tweener like this.  He's a decent college player, and had a great combine . . . but I don't think he projects to our scheme very well.

Too light for a DE, too slow for an OLB.  We need contributors, not more projects.

Chubb is the top of the board for DE's that are 43 guys, after that, it is about a rounds worth of value down to Hubbard who can run a 43.  After that, it is just pulling one from a hat and hoping.  Might as well pin our hopes on Hall at that point since Ziggy got tagged.

Back to Peppers I suppose
