You can seriously watch that video and not see that half of those catches are body/arms and not hands?

I get it, when a guy runs really fast and jumps really high at the combine everyone gets excited but it doesn't make him a better football player. I'm not saying he's a bum, but he's a project.

Yeah, your right...we need to draft a hall of fame receiver that never body catched a fuggin ball ever and get him at number 24.  The perfect WR will certainly be ours.

Then he'll be a late day one or early day two project.

People bitch about speed.  The guy came prepared to show off his talents.   You can nickel and dime his catches all you want.  I would rather have a guy who can catch the ball with his chest than a guy would drops balls with his hand.   This isn't saying he can't or won't ever change.  But if you are looking for a guy to stretch the field and CATCH the ball.  He is as good as any.  Many tout Kirk but from what I have read he hasn't faced much press coverage.

Choose your poison.  I don't think there is one player on this board that is 100% ready to step in and play.

Recently LSU has produced some pretty decent WRs.  Landry and OBJ to name a few.

l am not pushing to draft him in the 1st round but I wouldn't freak out if we did or round 2.

Yeah, there were plenty of hand grabs in there, but a lot of catches looked like he was catching a punt.

I can't complain, though, as I am a fan of St. Brown and he has a problem with body catching. Probably a bigger one.

LOL! Triggered.

I love how every year certain posters just fall head over heels in love with certain prospects and defend them against any perceived slight like they're family.

You seriously can't see that the ball hits his hands before most of the catches?

I get it,  you give in to Huddle bullshit narratives.

And, damned near 100 percent of receivers are projects to a degree. The trick is to calculate the risk vs the investment and decide when and if to pull the trigger.

I don't mind you or anyone having their reservations,  but using message board-speak in such a definitive and matter-of-fact manner, eclipsing even the serious analysis by folks who do this stuff for a living, is going too far in my opinion.

I generally acquiesce to the analysis of many scouts and such, then use a wait-and-see approach all throughout draft season and beyond before saying anything definitively, especially if I am not familiar with a player. If you notice,  I am more opinionated and definitive about pros. Like Michael Irvin said in so many words during the Combine, sometimes analysts are too quick to bring out red flags,  and it's unfair to the "kids" as he referred to them.

You're being overly emotional. I'm just sharing my opinion on the guy. I get it, you like him. I do too. I just wouldn't touch the guy in the 1st or 2nd rounds. To me that risk/reward equation falls in the 3rd round and I was saying that before the Senior Bowl and Combine back when a lot of people were trying to call the guy a 5th rounder.

I've liked him before the combine. I've pointed out his body catches. I still think he's worth it. I said it BEFORE his combine I thought he was worth it. Body catching can be coached, and he's shown the ability to catch with his hands and absolutely snag the ball out of the air plenty of times.

Maybe before the combine he was a 3rd but the combine is like a job interview and he nailed it.

If I were a betting man, I would bet he is gone before the 3rd.
