Conservative playcalling on both sides of the ball cost us this game

I have to agree. We as Denny Green would say We let them off the hook. We got up and then we got into our little shell. They ran it down our throats and dared us to pass in the second and we decided to run. Good game plan Gmen you knew we would not step on your throats and the bet payed off.

Shotgun draws killed us. Almost every time they got major yardage. I also notice that when D.Jarret is open on 3rd down, Jake is not looking his way. The offense was off in the 2nd half, but they gave us 28 points tonight. Defense needs to play more aggressive(blitz and bump & run). It's time for a real Defensive Coordinator. Time for John Fox to stick his head into the defensive meetings again.

I would like to see Smitty run the wild cat offense sometime.

I miss the 2002 Defense. TOP 5 Defense

Go back and watch the game again. We weren't stacking the box against the run as much as we were zoning the short passes. We weren't ever dedicated to stopping the run. We like to rush our front four and play zone behind it. Tonight it cost us.

I have to say your right on this one. If Kemo our NT would have been in there Beason would have gone free in the zone but our DTs were getting pushed a mile back. The Gmens O-line was winning the war.

the commentators continued to remark how may times both teams stacked 8 or 9 in the box, thats what i saw too. the zone on passing when we would drop back into coverage hurt yes. they passed right down the middle all night, thats nothing new.

the coverages we used didnt surprise me since we've been playing that way the whole year unfortunately, but to not be able to adjust to a simple shotgun trap play? It's just really frustrating to watch. I know we didn't have kemo, but c'mon

I shall quote Madden: "Heck, if it works just keep running the play until they can stop it!"

Or something similar. They must've been listening to him.

Trg had the handcuffs on tonight. Sure, the runs kept the defense honest. However, you cannot let a QB like Manning have all day to pick apart the defense. If it's third and long, BRING IT! I'd rather take the chance that somebody gets beat in man coverage than let Eli find a crease in our zone.
