OT CLIMBER

Recommended Posts

I think that this guy could be available in round 2 for us.  His motor might be a reason he drops.

Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA: The former Bruin looked like a decathlete on the Lucas Oil Stadium turf while running through drills. The 6-9, 309-pounder breezed through the 40-yard dash in 4.95 seconds (with a remarkable 1.67-second 10-yard split), while also posting a 31.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. Miller followed his dazzling athletic display with a strong positional workout where he exhibited outstanding movement skills and lateral quickness in drills. Although this enticing athleticism doesn't always show up on his game tape, Miller's stellar workout could propel him into the Day 1 discussion.

OL isn’t getting addressed day 1 or even day 2 imo. There is more than enough depth if Norv can tweak the offense to not leave Cam out to dry. The OL doesn’t need high draft picks...our skill (lack thereof) positions need those picks.

As Polian used to say...give me TD makers and guys that disrupt the QB in round 1-2.

I think that if we don-t take McGlinchey in the first,  then OT won't be addressed until day 3. The same with DE.

That being said,  it's all about two of the three positions on day two: safety, receiver or  running back.

I would not be surprised if we bring Stewart back on a better deal.

Safety is a no doubt but IMO DE and OL is a higher priority than RB and Receiver.

We currently don’t have a guy I would trust to be a legit #1 guy at WR. Nobody is game planning for Funchess. Olsen used to be that guy...remains to be seen if he can return to pre-injury form. But there needs to be someone who can take the top off a defense. If Ridley (or another potential 1 WR) is there or if there is a RB the staff thinks is a Kamara-type home run threat then you take that guy.

I would not sleep on Sony Michel. CMC gives Norv the flexibility to move him around to almost anywhere he wants. He does not have to be an exclusive RB. So giving him 7-8 carries a game and 10 targets a game could be a better use for him than lining him up in Norv’s eyes. So that leaves hopefully in this offense about 15-20 carries for a true #1. Michel could be that guy....

I think D Williams and Moton are our future LT and RT

Too many other things we will need right away to put your 1st round plug and play pick behind 2 other guys and sitting on the bench.

Glaring hole at LG will need to be addressed to start with, maybe a safety although not sure one can start right away.  Possibly a TE or WR depending on what Turner thinks and then we will have to pick up a RB.  Most of this ahead of OT

2nd round maybe, but not first

Basically what I'm saying is that after day 1, I think that all the O-Lineman and Defensive Ends worth spending a high pick on will be gone.  I still believe that you will be able to find day one starters, or at least better value, at the other positions,  particularly RB, safety and receiver.

I hope you think Morton is LT because I’ve seen people mentions Williams at LT and that’s a no go. He was a RT through college and is a RT only. If you watched him in preseason this year they tried him a few times at LT and he looked awful and they stopped doing that. We need to just leave him there and extend him and develop a LT, hopefully Moton.

Yeah, I think Williams is by far best suited at RT. Unfortunately, I'm not sold on Moton at LT either. If we don't think he can play LT, then we need to just go ahead and kick him inside to LG and be done with it.
