Hmm..he has been a dominate end and works best as a 4-3 end.  A 4 and late rounder sounds cheap for him.  Great move for Miami.

Well we all want these guys on our team but we have made these sort of trades before... Greg Olsen and Jared Allen were probably 2 of the better ones. We've made some decent trades for late round picks as well.

We also traded away Kelvin recently which had similar circumstances, we just got the mid round pick instead of the player.

Yeah but Miami makes those trades. It's why they are in the playoffs every year and always beat the Patriots.

At this point, he's no Addison.  Maybe he regains his previous level but giving away picks to pay that salary to make that wager is not something I am upset about not doing.

I doubt LAR take a 5th rounder within the NFC contender for a 27 yo DE that would really thrive in our system. 

I feel your pain sir... trust... this is the kind of DE deal we need to find this offseason. The draft isn't going to help us, and Peppers/Addison is shaky to be counted on for 19-20 games this year.

Wouldve taken that trade easily

He looked out of place last year transitioning to 3-4 OLB and was injured the year prior.

The 3 seasons before that

2014: 10.5 sacks 5.5 FF

2013: 19 sacks 7 FF

2012: 10.5 sacks 

Guy is only 27 years old too.

ESPN's Jenna Laine reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns both tried to trade for former Rams DE Robert Quinn.
