On the field, where it matters he has not. Phil Loadholt also had bar Combine numbers. He turned out to be pretty damn solid.

Loadholt's combine was just kind of run of the mill subpar. Brown's is historically bad. Like worst combine performance ever type of bad.

The Huddle was excited about Everette Brown.  Let that sink in...

This is true.  I never did understand why at first.  But over time it became clear to me.  Guess Hurney is right, you can learn by watching some people.

Just absolutely mind boggling. How could the two time Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year perform this terribly? I know some analysts were saying prior to the Combine that they weren't sure he was an NFL OT, but I think virtually everyone thought this guy was a future NFL starter at either LT or RT. He's honestly probably going to get taken off of some draft boards after today.

As well he should, unless some explanation can be found and believed.

This isn't one of those cases where a highly thought of prospect just has a sort of middle of the pack performance.  To me, this says the player just doesn't care.  That's not the kind of player I want on my team.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense how a guy could truly be as poor of an athlete as he showed today and be the two time OL of the year in the Big 12 and only allow a total of three sacks in the last two seasons. It just doesn't make sense.

"Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma: The potential first-round pick could see his stock tumble after putting on one of the worst athletic displays I've ever seen at the NFL Scouting Combine. Brown lumbered through a 5.85-second 40 after recording a 19.5-inch vertical jump and a 6-10 broad jump. Those disappointing results speak volumes about his limited athleticism and movement skills as an edge blocker. Now, it is important to remember workouts don't outweigh the film study, but it's hard to ignore Brown's pedestrian numbers when pondering his draft prospects going forward."

Sounds like a motivation problem to me.  You can't teach motivation.  He just might go undrafted.

You can tell you know nothing about this at all. So, Brown wasn't ever a workout warrior at Oklahoma. That's the thing. He's not lazy per say. Just never had to workout like that while at OU. He was like that in High School actually. At one point, he was rated a four star. Then he started to struggle with his weight (which he got down), and after his father passed motivation issues. Clearly, the right coaching helped him, and the right motivation. So, I dunno what you're talking about.

Well all those accolades sure didn't help him impress at the combine now did it?  You know, when all eyes are on him to do so.  Either he isn't what his hype says it is or he's not motivated enough to impress his future employer?  It's one or the other.
