He did so well, some said he was a First Rounder? Remember? Remember when we got a "steal" with him? Even though film said otherwise? HMMMMMMMM

Ealy has talent, no denying that. Something is off in his brain, either lazy, entitled, stupid, who knows.

Too bad they don't measure spin move speed.

When a guy who has Brown's collegiate production and pretty good workouts doesn't go in the 1st there's a reason.  If he couldn't simply run past you or beat you with a spin move after failing to run past you, he was done. That worked in college but it didn't translate in the NFL. He just didn't have the necessary repertoire of moves.

Brown was our attempt to get our own version of Dwight Freeney.  That was the year Ron Meeks was the defensive coordinator and he wanted us to look like the Colts defense.

Imitating the Colts defense has generally not been a good idea.

No, Ealy is the example of why you don’t take Brown in the 2nd or 3rd. Based on the combine Ealy looked decent and had a good junior year. Brown had the good year but has awful athleticism. Ealy didn’t destroy the combine but he ran almost 1 second faster in the 40 and 32 inches longer in the broad jump. That’s how bad Brown did. Historically bad. That’s not a 2nd or 3rd. I can understand the Landry love even if I disagree but this guy has performed like a big tub of lard.

What messed Ealy up was his brain, not his body, and that still makes me shake my head.

We all heard the story about him and his little sister.  It made him sound like a guy who had his priorities right and his head on straight.  I was ready to root for him.  It was a great story.

We certainly got one phenomenal game out of him.  That looked like the shape of things to come.

And then...God only knows what turned him into what he became.

There's gotta be a story there.  No idea what it is and I doubt we'll ever find out, but boy wouldn't we all like to know.

I honestly think it's just motivation. He came into that Super Bowl hungry as hell and played his ass off. I just don't think he has it in him to get up like that week in and week out.

On the field, where it matters he has not. Phil Loadholt also had bad Combine numbers. He turned out to be pretty damn solid.

And if it's just you, that's not unusual.

With a little sister he'd been caring for though, why?
