And for Billy Price, what transpired today at the combine may cost him.

Apparently, this talented C/G prospect found himself with a possible torn pectoralis major, which in turn is certainly not ideal.

He will likely drop to the 3rd or 4th rounds. Very unfortunate and sad.

This sucks for him, but on the other hand if he falls to the 3rd and we can select him with one of our thirds,this may be a perfect scenario, Ryan plays his last year while price heals and gets ready to be his successor

Zero chance of that happening. 2nd at latest still. Torn pec means he could still make it for week 1. Not a guaranteed red shirt year and he's already pro ready. It's definitely a setback and may move him back half a round but no chance he falls that far. Agree we probably won't consider at 24, though if he's there at our pick in 2nd we would pull the trigger if we liked him before the injury (which can't be assumed).

Eh. Torn pecs are weird and the way NFL teams evaluate them are also weird, but I wouldn't be opposed if he miraculously slides to our second. I think he's a stud and I hope we get him.

He’s not dropping that far over a torn peck, I’d say he falls to late second to early third at worse. As long as it isn’t a knee/hip/leg issue he won’t fall far over a injury.

2nd round I would consider him depending on the board. The 3rd I feel is a no brainer. Sit behind kalil and learn and take over if/When ryan gets hurt or to start 2019.

Purely anecdotal but the first round DB of the Bengals tore his pec at the start of training camp and still played game one.

The severity and when he can return is depended mostly on where he tore it. If the tendon of the pec tore of the bone, they can easily reattach it and takes about 6 months. If he tore the belly of the muscle, then he's screwed.

Pec muscle more important for a Lineman. That's usually a season ender for them.
