I don't understand how this guy doesn't have more buzz around him. Three year starter. 3700+ yards ever year he started. 4000+ the last two seasons. Almost 14k career passing yards. 92 career TDs vs. 26 INTs. 63% career passer. 65% last year.

If this guy isn't a top QB talent, then James Washington must be the damn truth.

He got an ankle injury or something right before the Senior Bowl.  Could be that.  Don't know.

Person listed him as possibly a third round option for us.  I'd seen him listed as a first rounder before.  Has he really dropped that far?

I don't know. I don't get it. I could understand him being overlooked if there was a massive question mark (like he was 5'10" or something) but he has prototypical NFL QB build at 6'5" 230.

It's just weird. You don't see guys with his production and measurements getting overlooked to this degree very often. People are hyping Josh Allen up like crazy when he doesn't even begin to compare to Rudolph.

I agree on reaction time, but we just plain don't have enough quality speed in those position groups. The speed that we do have (Byrd, Clay, Shepard, etc) are all either very raw or borderline NFL caliber talents.

Jarvis Landry ran a 4.77 at his combine, yet that doesn't stop him from constantly getting open.  Matter of fact, his combine was a disaster...

But I'm betting he has some serious fast-twitch muscles, runs great patterns, and had/has an OC that thinks more of offense than "DER RUN BALL HARD TWEEN TACKULZ!"

Based on what? Certainly not combine numbers.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/nfl-combine-results.cgi?request=1&year_min=2007&year_max=2017&height_min=65&height_max=82&weight_min=149&weight_max=375&pos=CB&show=all&c1stat=forty_yd&c1comp=gt&order_by=year_id

Only 7 guys on this list who ran 4.65+ and only one of them got drafted and he got drafted in the 5th round and never actually appeared in a regular season NFL game. Only 3 guys on this list who ran 4.6+ were drafted in the 3rd round or higher. Worley being one of those three. One of the others was 6'3" 218 pounds and he only appeared in 5 NFL regular season games.

*This site has Norman listed at 4.61 though. I don't believe that's correct. 4.66 is the time listed on the NFL Combine site.

It's older data but the NFL did a report from 2008 to 2012 CB's were the fastest group at 4.55, Rb's were next at 4.59

There's always some exceptions. Landry is a solid receiver, but he also has a low average yards per reception and isn't a TD scorer. I thought Miaimi was crazy for tagging him.

Good Combine showing good interview  some of those second wave of Qbs will be moving up and gaining buzz.

Last year the entire defensive approach changed.  Hell even Keuchly looked out of step last year.

Yeah, I was in many a game thread where I was wondering, after Kuechly f'ed up again last year, why he didn't get the same poo from the usual suspects that constantly poo on Cam.

But then I reconsidered the difference between Cam and Luke and I immediately understood the answer to my mental question.
