You can release a player now and use the post Jun 1 designation a certain number of times. It was designed so you could cut them now and give them more time to catch on elsewhere while still splitting the dead money over 2 seasons.

If I remember correctly we can save more if he's a June 1st cut. I could be wrong though.

Roster looks solid right now, Shepard is the only player on our current roster that I would cut.

That very well may happen. It needs to actually, the cap space it would save and he really didn’t pan out as I hoped.

We were the 2nd oldest team at the start of the season. In the past 3 days Hurney as cut age 30 Kurt Coleman, age 31 JStew and age 32 CJ. 

 Getting younger is going to be a major offseason priority for Marty Hurney.
